Post Construction Cleaning in Angus, ON

We clear the sawdust, scrub the grime, and make your newly built or renovated space move-in ready.

Why Construction Sites Need a Real Cleanup

Builders leave behind a mess. Drywall dust settles on every surface. Paint splatters stick to floors. Sawdust hides in corners. Adhesive residue clings to windows. You can't just vacuum this stuff - it needs proper removal or it'll keep circulating through your home.

We've cleaned dozens of post-reno homes in Angus and over to Barrie. We know where dust hides. Behind baseboards. Inside cabinet tracks. On top of door frames. We bring the right tools - HEPA vacuums, microfiber cloths, scrapers, and cleaners that won't damage new finishes. You get a space that's actually clean, not just swept.

Most people underestimate how long this takes. A small bathroom reno? Three to four hours of detailed work. A whole-home build? We're talking a full day or more. If you've got a deadline to move in or a final inspection coming up, we'll make it happen.

What We Clean After Construction

We start high and work down. Light fixtures, ceiling fans, vents - all that airborne dust lands up there first. Then walls, wiping down every surface to remove drywall powder and handprints. Windows get scraped for paint overspray and sticker residue, then washed inside and out. Baseboards, trim, door frames - we detail all of it.

Floors need different treatment depending on what you've got. Hardwood gets swept, then damp-mopped carefully. Tile gets scrubbed, grout lines included. If there's construction adhesive or caulk drips, we remove them without scratching. We also vacuum out all the cabinets, drawers, and closets before you load them up with your stuff.

Bathrooms and kitchens get extra attention. We clean inside vanities, wipe down new fixtures, polish faucets, and make sure no grout haze is left on tile. It's not the same as our standard Deep House Cleaning - this is heavier, dirtier work with different challenges.

How We Handle Builder Dust and Debris

Drywall dust is the worst. It's fine, it's everywhere, and regular vacuums just blow it around. We use HEPA-filter machines that actually capture it. First pass is dry - we vacuum every surface. Second pass is damp - microfiber cloths pick up what's left without smearing it around.

We don't use your new HVAC system as a vacuum. Builders sometimes leave vents open during construction, and dust gets into ductwork. We cover vents while we work and recommend you get ducts cleaned separately if the system was running during the build. We'll also replace or clean your furnace filter as part of the service.

Some crews in Alliston and Angus try to rush this. They sweep once and call it done. We're not that crew. We come back through rooms multiple times because dust keeps settling as we work. It's slower, but it's the only way to get a truly clean result.

Timing Your Post Construction Cleaning

Book us after the builder's final walkthrough but before you move furniture in. That's the sweet spot. We can access every corner, and you won't have to work around boxes or worry about us bumping into your stuff. If the builder says they'll do a 'final clean', let them - then call us to do it properly.

We're flexible on scheduling. Renovations run late - we get it. If your contractor pushes the date, we'll adjust. We also work with real estate agents and home stagers who need places cleaned fast before listings go live. Same-day or next-day service is possible if we've got the crew availability.

For bigger projects, some clients book us for a mid-build cleanup and then a final one. If you're living in the house during a kitchen reno, we can come in weekly to keep dust from spreading everywhere. It's similar to our Recurring House Cleaning but adapted for construction chaos.

Frequently asked questions

How long does post construction cleaning take?

Depends on the size and mess. A single-room reno usually takes 3-5 hours. A full-home new build can take 8-12 hours or more, sometimes split over two days. We'll give you a time estimate when we quote the job.

Do I need to be there during the cleaning?

Nope. Most clients give us access and let us work. We'll text you photos when we're done if you want proof before you drive over. Just make sure we can get in - lockbox, key drop, or contractor access all work fine.

What if there's still dust after you leave?

We do a final walkthrough before we pack up, but if you spot something we missed, just call us. We'll come back and touch it up at no charge. Construction dust is sneaky - sometimes it settles after we've left - so we stand behind our work.
